True of course. For books DTDs are fine. But XML is used more and more to exchange data. In such cases you want typing, subtyping, data typing, and all those checks. That makes things a lot harder. For documents there is probably not much gained by having an XML Schema or RELAX NG definition. -- Groetjes, Berend. (-:
