Yes that was a typo on my behalf, it's c:/tmp and the perl program neatly
copied the afm's and pfb's but in between all those actions there were
plenty of error messages also flashing over my screen...

I've never had problems with perl before... Maybe Hans can explain.

No this laptop is just Windows98 without any fancy security.

I tried it in the same test directory where the batchfile is, same amount of
errors.

Never mind, at least I can say I did try it honestly myself. I'll use
Computer Modern for the time being and I've asked a TeX friend with more
experience than I have to see if he can have a go at it which he probably
will.
