I would like that very much as well. I didn't even know that out-of-the-box there were more fonts possible than CMR. From the recent messages I see that it is possible but very complicated and sensitive to misunderstanding, so a short listing of what one should exactly do to get such fonts (including a working tex file, not snippets that one should select, combine, add or modify) would be something I'd be looking forward to!
