Very cool.

I'm trying it with Euler, and it almost works. However, the [size]
typescript finds the namespace too crowded... well, as far as I can tell,
the size definitions done by:
   \usetypescript[boldmath][euler][size]
are knocked aside by:
   \usetypescript[math][euler][size]

The best case gets the normal weight, the boldmath bodyfont, and \bfm
weight available. Either normal or bold has the different design sizes
(10, 7, 5pt) applied, but not both at once. From what I understand (and
my font knowledge is still limited--I don't know how or where the size
typescripts get called), this will be an issue in supporting cmr boldmath
as well.

Does anyone else have some insight?

If you'd like to try them out, my current files are attached. They depend
on the virtual euler package:
