Hi Bruce, I think your code should read: \startluacode -- \\dummycommand \stopluacode \starttext Hello \stoptext BTW, in pure Lua: a = "\a" b = "\\b" print(a..b) outputs "\b". Sorry, I lack the knowledge to explain this, but backslash seems to be an special char in pure Lua too. Just in case it might help, Pablo ___________________________________________________________________________________ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : email@example.com / https://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context webpage : https://www.pragma-ade.nl / http://context.aanhet.net archive : https://bitbucket.org/phg/context-mirror/commits/ wiki : https://contextgarden.net ___________________________________________________________________________________
