Confirmed.

- No error on the Mac under ConTeXt ver: 2026.01.08 23:30 LMTX fmt: 2026.1.8
int: english/english
- Error on Windows 11 under version: 2026.01.08 23:30

As my Windows was a brand new install I did the usual:

  context --luatex --generate
  context --luatex --make
  mtxrun --generate
  mtxrun --script fonts --reload

just to be sure and still no joy.

On a hunch I changed:

  \definefontfamily[mainface][tt][TeX Gyre Cursor][rscale=0.25]

to

  \definefontfamily[mainface][tt][{TeX Gyre Cursor}][rscale=0.25]

and it worked.

So something to do with finding the distribution fonts based on a name with
spaces perhaps?
