unfortunately, there’s no official documentation about layers.
There are a few options for layers that nobody seems to use (didn’t find
anything in the ML archives) and that I don’t understand. Please give me
a hint what these mean or for what they’re meant:
* dx, dy: offset, but why use this instead of x,y or hoffset,voffset?
* sx, sy: scaling?
* option=test
* region=<Name> (page regions, but how? no effect in setlayer)
* position=no/yes/overlay
* direction=normal/reverse (page order?)
* doublesided=yes/no (necessary for doublesided layouts or not?)
* method=overlay/fit (normal vs. TEXpage?)
Sorry, I spent the whole day investigating floats and captions, have no
brain any more…
