Hi again,

unfortunately, there’s no official documentation about layers.

There are a few options for layers that nobody seems to use (didn’t find anything in the ML archives) and that I don’t understand. Please give me a hint what these mean or for what they’re meant:

* dx, dy: offset, but why use this instead of x,y or hoffset,voffset?
* sx, sy: scaling?
* option=test

You have to set the option with \definelayer and it put a frame around the layer content.

* region=<Name> (page regions, but how? no effect in setlayer)
* position=no/yes/overlay

When you use position=yes you can place a layer within running text and context leaves a gap in the paragraph, where it places the layer content afterwards.

* direction=normal/reverse (page order?)
* doublesided=yes/no (necessary for doublesided layouts or not?)

You have to set thhis option with \definelayer to use the second optional argument of \setlayer to control whether your layer is placed on an odd or even page.

* method=overlay/fit (normal vs. TEXpage?)
