I upload a doc file into Open Office Writer, save it as rtf and then run the program rtf2latex2e. The reult isn't perfect but it gives you a starting point. Other conversion tools found with e.g., Kword, Abiword etc. don't seem to work as well. For client work I just save the doc or pdf as text and start from there. The Adobe Acrobat Reader has a good text save function. -- John Culleton Resources for every author and publisher: http://wexfordpress.com/tex/shortlist.pdf http://wexfordpress.com/tex/packagers.pdf http://www.creativemindspress.com/newbiefaq.htm http://www.gropenassoc.com/TopLevelPages/reference%20desk.htm ___________________________________________________________________________________ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : [email protected] / http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context webpage : http://www.pragma-ade.nl / http://tex.aanhet.net archive : https://foundry.supelec.fr/projects/contextrev/ wiki : http://contextgarden.net ___________________________________________________________________________________
