No one have the epxerience of using the bbox information to typeset Chinese before --- that information was not availble to the user until LuaTeX came into being. So even experienced Chinese typesetting artist don't know the spacing rules. We have to play/experiment that in LuaTeX in order to find the best possible parameters for typesetting.
