Neither Luca nor I have access to an HP-UX box, nor the time / inclination
to work on this. As the recent exchanges with Falk have proven, it can't be
done via (human) proxy, unless the proxy has a lot of knowledge about the
system and a willingness to try things on his/her own. Sending me endless
streams of terminal captures just doesn't work.

If HP would pony up some resources and/or $ponsorship, that would be great.

I do know from the code that there are some ugly stuff in plugin.c related
to HP-UX. It might be that 11 is more POSIX compliant than 10.20 was. I
guess you might try making the #ifdef HPUX stuff in there look like all the
other OSes...

Hello,

how did they ( http://www.thewrittenword.com/packages/ ) do it - that is
my big question ??

Without plugins i get one of the latetest versions running.
But i am not a c-programmer (my world is "Visual"-Basic). I know Unix only
since a few years.

It's to bad about the whole time - i think there is a way - i am looking
for a good c-programmer with access to a hp-ux box. Perhaps i get one
interested at HP direct.

Modified Files:

Log Message:
Change status of HP-UX 11.0 support to WILLFAIL. All the reports from
users under HP-UX 11.0 indicate problems with ntop in this environment.

Quoting from ./configure --enable-showoses:

Status of 'WILLFAIL' means you are:

Attempting to build ntop for an unsupported platform

     >>> This is unsupported.
     >>> It will almost certainly fail
(that is why it is listed as 'unsupported' - doh!)
