Only thing I see amiss when I run autogen.sh and/or ./configure

Removing dups and misplaced entries from LIBS and INCS...

checking for GeoIP_record_by_ipnum in -lGeoIP... no

checking for GeoIP_name_by_ipnum_v6 in -lGeoIP... no

Please install GeoIP (http://www.maxmind.com/)

There is no Makefile…just a Makefile.in, Makefile.am, Makefile.mingw

So therefore I am unable to run ‘make’

madness:~/ntop-4.0.1 # make

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

madness:~/ntop-4.0.1 #

Is 4.0.1 the latest? I thought it was up to 4.3.n or something? Anyway, I'll
try to check this out today.

After configure runs, I try make...and there is no Makefile so 'make'
complains...

I will try it again tonight after reading further the INSTALL file.

When I untar the tarball for ntop it does not have a "configure" file, I have
to use autogen.sh to make it..

It sounds like the configure is failing

I haven’t tried this version (yet), but doesn’t autogen.sh do the configure and
make? Double check the install instructions. Also, capture the output from
autogen.sh and see if there’s anything interesting. If you don’t have all the
right dev tools installed it doesn’t like it very much.

All,

I run autogen.sh

Then

After running ./configure I try ‘make’ and get

madness:~/ntop-4.0.1 # make

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

madness:~/ntop-4.0.1 #

Doesn’t create a Makefile…

Am I doing something wrong?
