Hello again Luca and the NTOPpers!
Having installed the version as at Friday 23/11/01 13:00GMT(ish), I've got a
couple of points regarding the system.
The system has been running for 2.5 days now - stability seems good!
Global Traffic Stats look like there's been an overflow somewhere...
Total 3.6 GB
IP Traffic 183.9 GB
Non IP Traffic 16777216.0 TB
In total, I'd expect to see 300GB in the 2.5 days that it's been running.
Also the packet size percentages are a little bit out of touch:
Shortest 16 bytes
Average Size 370 bytes
Longest 4,373 bytes
< 64 bytes 176.0% 11,978,352
< 128 bytes 185.4% 12,616,365
< 256 bytes 202.5% 13,783,721
< 512 bytes 28.5% 1,938,417
< 1024 bytes 75.8% 5,159,775
< 1518 bytes 62.9% 4,277,480
> 1518 bytes 808.2% 55,001,438
Packets too long 536.9% 36,512,124
I'm running on an FDDI link here, so the packet size of 4373 is acceptable;
the MTU of the interface is set at 4470
Below is a copy of the ifconfig, which also shows funny stats with regards
to traffic!:
