Hi Richard, > The system has been running for 2.5 days now - stability seems good!
My experiences are good, as well. > Global Traffic Stats look like there's been an overflow somewhere... > Total 3.6 GB > IP Traffic 183.9 GB > Non IP Traffic 16777216.0 TB That's a problem with FDDI (except the Non IP: this problem also occurs with Ethernet). I've made the same experiences. The traffic of each host seems to be correct, but the Global Traffic Stats is strange. > Also the packet size percentages are a little bit out of touch: > Shortest 16 bytes > Average Size 370 bytes > Longest 4,373 bytes > < 64 bytes 176.0% 11,978,352 > < 128 bytes 185.4% 12,616,365 > < 256 bytes 202.5% 13,783,721 > < 512 bytes 28.5% 1,938,417 > < 1024 bytes 75.8% 5,159,775 > < 1518 bytes 62.9% 4,277,480 > > 1518 bytes 808.2% 55,001,438 > Packets too long 536.9% 36,512,124 I think that's the same problem as the one above. > I'm running on an FDDI link here, so the packet size of 4373 is acceptable; > the MTU of the interface is set at 4470 Yes, FDDI, what I expected. Luca answered me: he hasn't got FDDI and won't make any updates for FDDI. So now I use/experiment with it on a Gigabit-Ethernet box. That's the info I have about that topic.
