Karsten:  Since you haven't indicated which command-line options
you're using, can't be sure if this will be useful.  When I had
problems w/ NTOP (2.1.2), I was able to get it to run for weeks (as of
today, 32 days straight), by eliminating the -S option.  Here are the
options I use under FreeBSD 4.5-RELEASE:

-u nobody -d -P /var/db/ntop -w 3000 -i sis0 -D cbc-office -L
