you're using, can't be sure if this will be useful. When I had
problems w/ NTOP (2.1.2), I was able to get it to run for weeks (as of
today, 32 days straight), by eliminating the -S option. Here are the
options I use under FreeBSD 4.5-RELEASE:

-u nobody -d -P /var/db/ntop -w 3000 -i sis0 -D cbc-office -L

Hello!
Yes I give less Information, my mistake.
But, the only information I can give, are the start options
I used the Suse-specific file in the ntop package and copy
it in my /etc/init.d/ directory.
Here are the option:
-u ntop
-i eth0
-E
-w 3000
-P /usr/local/share/ntop
-U http://jake.ntop.org/cgi-bin/mapper.pl
-a /usr/local/share/ntop/ntop.access.log
-L

The daemon is started by:
startproc -q /usr/local/bin/ntop
normal options, as far as I can see.

But, Jet, you are right, I used the option -S 1. Before using this
option it seems to run, if I remember right.
So I switched back and deleted the option -S 1.

Is there any log-file where I can find some information?
The lines in messages are not so helpful to me...
last Information given:
Nov 14 13:33:51 hhbGate ntop[23059]: Extending hash size [newSize=512][deviceId=0]

Thanks, and excuse me again
Karsten
