Cool beans - I've updated BUILD-NTOP.txt - thanks for catching that.

Subject: RE: [Ntop] FreeBSD (et al) and the .deps problem

Here is my situation:

I upgraded automake to version 1.6.3 as per Burton's previous advise
http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/automake/automake-1.6.3.tar.gz. Before that I had
automake 1.5,1 according to the BUILD-NTOP.txt doc. Although I did not see
any error messages in the config output, I still got the .deps errors but
Ntop compiled and ran ok with the only exception of rrdplugin.

With automake 1.6.3, autoconf-2.53 and libtool-1.3.4_4 ALL WORKS LIKE A
CHARM !!!!

Although I don't advocate the use of libtool-1.3.4_4 it worked fine for me.

Here is my version of Ntop on FreeBSD: ntop v.2.1.54 MT (SSL)
[i386-unknown-freebsd4.5] (01/20/03 11:21:03 AM build)

I wanted rrd badly and now I have. I have all the functionalities of Ntop on
FreeBSD. The key was automake 1.6.3.

Thank you Burton
