Why do you have any expectation that the version in some other tool's site
is current???

Did you read the info at snapshot:

" 12/07 2002Cleanup here

ntop 2.1 has much of the content (thanks gang) from this site included in
the docs/FAQ and docs/KNOWN_BUGS files. I'll be cleaning up here in the next
few days! -----Burton"

There's a version - not quite current, but at least it tells you that up
front

"ntop FAQ...
This is an unsophisticated, automated conversion of the source file,
docs/FAQ into html. Please report problems to the ntop-dev mailing list. But
remember, it's not about making it look good, it's about making the content
available.
This copy was prepared on 05Feb2003 from ntop's cvs (version 2.1.57pre)."

docs/FAQ is a file, 3300 lines at last count in the d*mn source you
downloaded. Did you even LOOK?
Or you could look in the d*mn source code you downloaded, which is where -
docs/FAQ - I told you to look the first time.
