Bad idea.
 
That's version 2.2, which is unsupported.  There's an rpm for 2.2c at SourceForge, but there's a heck of a difference between 2.2c and 2.2.9x (the cvs version)...

Install apt, add dag's repository.
apt-get update
apt-get install ntop

Much simpler that building from cvs :-)
