WRT to additional traceEvents() - suggest you sit with the log output and the code first and trace your way through what's already there. The fact that you're seeing all this output seems to indicate sFlow is working.
QUESTION: Did you switch the reporting NIC to the sFlow virtual one? WRT ps: Well, the 1st reply is "Sc**w ewe". A: Criticizing the person trying to help you. Especially when he's known to be sarcastic, snide and short tempered. Q: What's even worse? A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on Usenet and in e-mail? But, I'm in a good mood, so here's a real answer: Actually, I do both top post and replies in-line/at bottom, which ever - IMNSHO - is the best way to respond to the person asking the question. A lot of the message content on a list like this is details about your environment, bug report contents, etc. Stuff which if I replied at the bottom you would never see, but if I snip out, means that when you whine "now what do I do", means I don't have the context. And I'm surely not going to find your prior message among the 5300 in my ntop 'history' file. So I leave the relevant stuff in, snip the junk and reply where I think it's best. Top posting lets me leave the information I think is relevant, without hiding the reply. As long as you exercise good judgment, you won't get flamed (on this list, by me, at least) for doing the same... -----Burton > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ted > Kaczmarek > Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2003 10:35 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [Ntop] Banging my head into a wall CVS RH9 and sflow > > > Holy smokes, I enabled the debug in the sflowPlugin.c and started ntop > in terminal, I gets tons of SFLOW_DEBUG that appears to my unskilled > eyes to appear ok. > > Where does someone of your expertise recommend I add the traceEvent() > lines? > > Regards, > Ted > > PS: Aren't replies to mailing lists supposed to be at the bottom? _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop
