First off move to a supported version - at least 2.2c and preferable the cvs
version.  intop and mySql are both dead giveaway that you're looking at 1.3.

Try reading the current docs/FAQ - there's a lot more in there about
everything than the version you've looked at.  If nothing else, there's one
no more that a month old at http://www.ntopsupport.com.  Esp. the sections
on memory usage.
