Have you ever found yourself in the position of having to read emails
on smartphones/PDAs, and having to compensate for the morons who forget
to <snip> irrelevant (to their answers) previous postings? I usually
have to "clip" myself parts of messages, by downloading - let's say, as
an example - only the first 20-50 lines of emails (and to decide later
on, if the email was worth more of my time and money to download the
rest - and - for the top postings - more likely to get the info needed,
with no further processing). Now - if everyone would top-post, the very
"mobile" users would be much happier than right now ... technology
evolves, and netiquette may have to adjust accordingly, regardless of
the historical records kept by Google ...
