Read the articles in docs/FAQ about switches - they apply to routers. ntop only sees the packets that the network sends it. If you think about your configuration, that's only the packets addressed to the ntop host.

I have connectivity (can ping) each node in the network either by name or by IP. Do you have any idea why ntop does not see packets from the other machines? Why don't the any hosts populate in the hosts table? I am very excited to use this tool. It seems to be a very powerful tool once I get the configuration down.
