| Point: Max

I'm not here for points; just wanted someone to know about the (alleged)
bug in the hope that it might be fixed.

But, if you're counting, it also wasn't the *exact same* message. The
second contained a correction to a typo - which I thought might have
been confusing people.

|
| Attachments, links, etc. at this point in time, with pfishing, spam, fake
| sites, most people don't click on ANYTHING in an email message unless it's
| something they are expecting from somebody they know. Most admins are
| trying to train their users, friends, parents, etc. - DON'T CLICK...
| period.

Well, I might understand this if I hadn't posted to this in the past - I
had even helped by pointing out a likely fix to a bug reported by
someone else. Admitted, it was likely using a different email address,
but my name hasn't changed - actually, the username part of the address
is even the same. So some casual checking may have shown me to be 'OK' -
even a little research into the website might have increased your
confidence, if you cared to bother (and I, in no way, suggest that you
should bother).

| So try using words to describe the problem.

Yes, I suppose my words were a little brief, but, in my mind, the image
to which I referred said it all - page numbers, version numbers etc etc.
I really hadn't considered that some would prefer not to follow a link
(in this way, I suppose attaching an image would have been better - but
you won't catch me doing that since *I* really hate them).

|
| Same people read both (or more precisely, there's fewer ntop-dev readers -
| those who follow the cvs tip).

Ah, fair enough. I shalln't bother then, though I might follow the man
page's suggestions more closely next time (it says to use the -dev list).

For the record, I didn't find your response to be *that* rude. I'm not a
newby (perhaps to this list, depending on your definition), so I've had
a lot worse. Terse, perhaps. I suspect it might offend some though.

Max.
