Unless you are trying to build the skeleton xml plugin, ntop shouldn't be looking for libgdome.
Those messages often occur when the links are messed up. Still, /opt is an odd place for this library, /var/lib or /usr/lib seems more standard. And /opt/gnome is probably not part of the ld resolution path unless you have the full Gnome system installed. Read the man ld - and follow the links in it to the configuration file (which file it is depends on the OS/Distro/Release) and add /opt/gnome/lib as a 'standard' library location. -----Burton > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of > mark walker > Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 2:36 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Ntop] ntop first time run problem > > > > I've installed and I am now attempting to run ntop for the first time on > Redhat 9.0 O/S.
