I Had. In fact, in many cases we got ntop crashes due to hardware problems (e.g. coolers, nics, etc.). However, I recommend the carefully reading of the man pages regarding the many switches. There are some tips that drive the decision to select the more adequate option. We got it in practice, because each setup we tested improved the stability of ntop. There is no standard set in this case, because it depends on the operating system, application of ntop, etc.
