-M will diable interface merge.  Each interface monitoring a different
link (different SPAN / RSPAN session) will get you what you want.

Well, I don't know for sure. Remember I'm most interested, at this
point, in getting information on what IPs on the Internet are
connecting to what IPs on our network. I don't know that NTop even has
a page to show this.

The IP Accounting solution may be the only way to go.
