I am writing this mail with regards to Ntop storing captured data in MYSQL
database.
Currently I have managed to install NTOP for redhat9 and very found of it.
I have been asked by my superiror to enable NTOP to store captured data to
MYSQL for historical data analysis. I have looked through the NTOP FAQ and
found that it is possible to actually store captured data to MYSQL database.
Although I have been trying over few days to get this working I have been
running into problems with the mySQLserver.pl
I have followed the FAQ information that I have found over the NTOP site
dated Mon, 5 Aug 2002 12:24:18 -0700 (PDT) which stated
When I try to run the command perl mySQLserver.pl & I get no errors but
[EMAIL PROTECTED] perl mySQLserver.pl &
[1] 5521
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
After this command I am tring to run
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ntop -w 3000 -i eth0 -b localhost:4000
Wed Nov 22 16:09:20 2006 Initializing gdbm databases
FATAL ERROR: Unrecognized/unprocessed ntop options...
localhost:4000
run ntop --help for usage information
Common problems:
-B "filter expressions" (quotes are required)
--use-syslog=facilty (the = is required)

I have looked through all the Ntop FAQ but couldnt find any info as to why I
am getting such error.
Can you please help me with this issue.
