Read the readme - something about automake. I downloaded the "new"
version a couple months ago and haven't been able to get it installed.
I have all the dependancies installed, the nTop still thinks I don't and
won't proceed. It's been a month since I tried, so guess I'll grab the
latest release and give it another shot.

Hello

I try to download the last version of ntop, following the procedure
http://www.ntop.org/download.html I made

cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/export/home/ntop login (I typed
the
password)
cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/export/home/ntop checkout ntop

after I downloaded the whole subdirectory ntop I noticed that the file

'configure' doesn't exist inside of it

Thanks for help me find my mistake

Thank you for your answer

Ok I followed your advice, but now something new appeared, I had to make
apt-get -y install libtool
apt-get -y install automake1.4

and after that
./autogen.sh generates the following error

configure: error: Unable to find RRD in the specified rrd 1.2.x directory

It's not clear for me where the ntop looks for this information, or if it needs a specific library

I want to install the update in one computer that already has the ntop up and running.

Thanks for any help

Greetings
