Hi,
we tested performance of nprobe with traffic sent from hardware generator.
In some case the number of packets in flows reported by nprobe was higher
than actually sent packets, for instance:
frame size frame rate sent frames reported frames
1518 324,675 (40%) fps 100,000,000 100,001,642
1518 243,902 (30%) fps 100,000,000 100,247,749
512 234,741 (10%) fps 100,000,000 103,960,793
It happened when running nprobe over regular NIC (10 Gb/s Myrinet).
It did not happen when running nprobe over DAG card (DAG8.2X).
Regular NIC can lose some packets, but it is very unlikely that it sends
packets multiple times. So it is more likely like some problem in software.
Does anybody have any suggestion, where can be the problem?
