Does your virtual server have it's own NIC - or virtual NIC too? Maybe
a virtualization issue? Anything in the logs or debugs?

There are some newer versions that may or may not help.

Subject: [Ntop] Problem with web server

Hi all!

I am new to ntop and I have a problem with it, specifically with the web
server component. I have started it with --http-server 127.0.0.1:3000. I
see in netstat that there is a process listening on port 3000. If I do a
local wget the process just hangs endlessly. If I do a netstat -an I see
the connections with packets in Recv-Q and State of CLOSE_WAIT.

If I start ntop with --http-server 3000 I have the same problem, either
coming from localhost or from the outside.

Sometimes but very rarely I can get an answer. I am running ntop 3.2 on
a virtual server with a Linux kernel 2.6.9 and libpcap 0.9.5.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Steffen
