I am setting the options as command line arguments not the prefs db(rather using /etc/conf.d/ntop since this is a gentoo box and I'm running ntop from an init script). I could use the prefs db, but should it matter? Also, -g is for only monitoring local hosts and that isn't what I want to do. Also, no matter how complicated things are, I should always have remote:(tx + rx) = local(tx+rx) if I ignore local->local and remote->remote traffic and I have --sticky-hosts set, correct?
