Dear Parents,
The Toronto District School Board supports Take Our Kids to Work Day for Grade 9 students as part of the Pathways to Success initiative, encouraging all students to be successful in their secondary and post-secondary careers. On this day, Grade 9 students will have the opportunity to accompany a parent, relative or family friend to the workplace. It is our hope that this will enable young people to make more informed choices as they proceed through school and is part of a student's developmental career education program. Take Our Kids to Work Day will occur on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Planning has begun to make this day a valuable opportunity for students. If you will allow your child to participate in this voluntary event, please complete the permission form already provided and return it to the school by Tuesday, October 20th.
