Performances start at 7:30 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday evening. The Friday evening performance will be a celebration of Canada's 150 birthday with a tribute to Canadian composers. The students and staff have worked exceptionally hard... please support theirv efforts. The Blood Donor Clinic on Thursday resulted in 63 units of blood being donated... 5 more units than the goal. Congrats NT! NT had outstanding results at the awards ceremony for the Toronto Council of English Teachers of English Short Story Contest. NT had 5 out of 12 winners. Congratulations to: Miranda Wiseman, Kyla Ion, Lan Li, William Lloyd, and Naomi Barghiel. Well done!!! Wednesday was the Student Council Election Assembly with 41 students giving speeches about why they should be in office. The speeches were well prepared and demonstrated humour and passion. These students should be commended for their initiative and bravery.. it is not an easy to task to face 1200 peers on stage! Results will be published in next week's news. Please make sure that your child's immunization records are up to date. Tuesday, May 9 is the deadline. Please do not fax in records .. instead phone Toronto Public Health at 416-392-1250 to update any records. Thank you!!! Vote for Abby's comic in the Telus media safety contest. Log into https://wise.telus.com/footprint/comic-contest. Abby's comic is "Always Ask Permission". First prize could result in $3000 for North Toronto. Abby Waldman showed great initiative in entering this contest - please support her! Congratulations to NT students who were invited to Kinross Gold's Annual General Meeting and were very well received! An NT student, Mia Petrovic, was asked to give a "live question" which the President of Kinross deemed as "great". Well done! VIVA! Is a youth choir in Toronto.
