Acknowledgements and Upcoming Events Welcome back to North Toronto, Melissa Chan! Melissa has accepted a 0.5 contract / 0.5 long-term occasional position in the Math department. Best wishes to Gabriela Katai as she moves forward to a 0.5 contract position at Malvern CI. Congratulations to our Grade 9 students for their participation in Take Our Kids to Work day! Thank you to all our parents and guardians who supported this initiative. Kudos to our Music department for an amazing Music retreat at the Geneva Park Conference Centre. More than 200 Music students participated; thank you to the Music department and other North Toronto teacher-supervisors for making this event a success! Remembrance Day assemblies We will be honoring our Canadian war veterans with two grade assemblies on Friday, November 10th. Stressbusters Grade 9 and 10 students will be participating in our annual "Stressbusters" workshops on Tuesday, November 14. Six wellness facilitators will be guiding our students through workshops aimed at reducing stress and encouraging mindfulness. Student tutors Many of our senior students are volunteering their time as tutors in a variety of subject areas. If your child is looking for academic support from a student peer, a student tutor list is available in the Guidance office. Report Card distribution: Wednesday November 15 PA Day: Friday November 17 (no classes) Parent Teacher Interviews: Thursday November 23 Information regarding on-line booking of interviews will be included in the report card package sent home with students on November 15.
