Acknowledgements and Upcoming Events

April 23 - 27:  North Toronto celebrates Earth Week with a kick-off assembly on 
Monday April 23.

Next meeting:  Wednesday April 25 in room 215 at North Toronto CI (17 Broadway 
Avenue)
Topic:  In light of the recent police Public Safety alert about robberies at 
Yonge and Eglinton, the executive committee of the North Toronto School Council 
has arranged a panel discussion about this issue, the context, the contributing 
factors and what we can do as a community to help ameliorate matters.  We have 
representatives from Toronto Police Services 53 Division joining us, as well as 
board, staff and student representatives.
Please join us on Wednesday April 25th at 7:00 pm for the council meeting and 
7:30 pm for the panel discussion.

Friday April 27 - Grade 9 Geography Summative Field Trip to High Park, Toronto

Monday April 30 & Tuesday May 1:  dress rehearsals for Maytime Melodies (early 
school closing both days)

Parents, families, and friends of the North Toronto CI community are invited to 
our 72nd Maytime  Melodies on May 3rd and 4th at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased 
by students at lunch in the main foyer of the school starting on April 23rd, or 
at the door on the nights of the performances.  Tickets can also be purchased 
online at the following link:  https://tdsb.schoolcashonline.com . Performing 
groups include multiple choirs, bands, string orchestras, soloists, the 
symphony orchestra, the stage band, the Hodgson MS Wind Ensemble, a percussion 
ensemble, and electronic ensembles. We look forward to celebrating our 
students' hard work and talents that allow us to continue NTCI's long tradition 
of musical excellence.

Cuba Service Trip - a parent information session will be held regarding next 
year's school trip to Cuba.
Parents are invited to attend the information session on May 9 at 6:30 pm in 
room 215.
