Acknowledgements, Upcoming Events & Dates North Toronto welcomes Chun Siu to the Business Studies department. Chun will be replacing Ms. Adams (Co-operative Education) who is currently on medical leave of absence until January 2020. North Toronto welcomes Meline Minasian to the Science department. Meline will be replacing Ms. Simone (Grades 9 & 10 Science Applied and Academic) who is currently on a maternity leave of absence. September 23: Student Club Fair Students will have the opportunity to discover the clubs/teams/sports available at NT! September 23: Terry Fox run Students will have the opportunity to raise money for cancer awareness and run a lap around the field! September 23: North Toronto Foundation (Alumni) meeting 7pm September 24: Staff meeting (late start-classes start at 10am) September 26: Grad Photo re-take day September 27-29: Ontario Universities Fair @ MTCC A province-wide Student Walkout is planned for Sept 27 at Queen's Park supporting climate change. This is not a TDSB-sanctioned event, however we understand that students may participate. Students under the age of 18 require parental permission to leave class. Any student not in attendance will be marked absent. Where parental permission has been granted, the absence will be deemed explained. The board will continue to monitor information about this event so that students have an opportunity to express their views in ways that are respectful, responsible and safe.
