Additional staffing at North Toronto
This is to advise that North Toronto has been granted an additional release of
a 2.0 teacher allocation to address cap size and teacher/pupil ratio issues.
In order to balance class sizes and to be consistent with the TDSB workload
accord regarding class sizes and teacher/pupil ratio, some students will have
their timetables changed as of Monday September 30, 2019. They will be
notified of the change on Monday morning during Home Form period.
This timetable reorganization will allow us to create smaller class sizes and
will reduce the teacher/pupil ratio amongst certain staff members whose current
class sizes far exceed the normal class cap.
Teachers, administration, and Guidance counsellors will work together to ensure
a smooth transition for all students who will be impacted by this change.

North Toronto welcomes back Melissa Chan to the Math department starting
October 2.
North Toronto welcomes Hussein Kamal Eddine to the History and Science
department starting September 30.

families today. North Toronto will honour the day with two assemblies to raise
