Mon. Feb. 3: Grade 10 "Believe" assembly
The Believe Keynote by Olympian Sarah Wells is designed to engage and inspire
students to adopt a mindset that will allow them to see past the barriers they
face. Many of today's youth will encounter obstacles along their journey and
some will consider giving up in a moment of adversity. During this critical
adolescent time, it is important we talk about being resilient, believing in
yourself and learning through our mistakes and obstacles. This assembly kicks
off a ten-day unit in all Term 2 Grade 10 Career Studies classes.

Mon. Feb. 3: The Republic Residents' Association (representing residents of 25
Broadway and 70 Roehampton) invite the school community to their annual general

several important guest speakers who will update residents on the area
development:

Josh Matlow: Councillor, ward 12
Jaye Robinson: Councillor, ward 15
Jill Andrew: MPP, Toronto St. Paul's

distributed to students during Home Form period. Report card packages will
include:

Thurs. Feb. 6: Joint Ward Forum at North Toronto CI (6:30-8:30pm in room 215)

important work we are doing in relation to the Multi-Year Strategic Plan and
will highlight the Secondary Program Review, French programming and other
current issues. The Trustees will be available for a Q & A following the

>From Toronto Public Health!
Toronto Public Health is assessing student immunization records to ensure
student vaccinations are up-to-date according to their age. Students who are
not yet in compliance with the Immunization of School Pupils Act have been sent
a letter requesting updated immunization information to their home address.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to report their child's updated immunization
to Toronto Public Health online at the following link:
toronto.ca/studentvaccines or contact TPH at (416-392-1250). The system is
secure, fast and easy to use. Students who have not updated their immunization
records may face a school suspension starting February 6, 2020.

Wed. Feb. 12: Course Selection Sheets 2020 DUE in Home Form class. Parents
are asked to ensure that the My Blueprint Course Sign-Off Sheet is signed and
submitted by their son/daughter on Wed. Feb. 12 during Home Form class (i.e. at
9am). Course selection sign-off sheets will only be accepted if they are
signed by a parent. Any course selection sign-off sheet submitted after Home
Form class on Wed. Feb. 12 will be considered as late; this may impact your
son/daughter's programming choices for next year.
