Good evening everyone: On behalf of the school, we'd like to wish you a safe and healthy Victoria Day week-end! We are anticipating an announcement from the Minister of Education early next week with regards to current school closures and whether buildings will re-open prior to the end of June. Stay tuned! >From the Student Services department: A reminder from Guidance that the last date to drop courses before the end of the school year is June 1. (Please remember that we are now past the Full Disclosure date for senior courses and the current mark will appear as "withdrawn" on your permanent transcript). If you wish to drop a course (or courses), you must fill in this Course Drop Google Form https://forms.gle/UaCqbGU9p68VHH1e7 AND have your parent email [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with permission for the drop BEFORE 4pm on June 1. >From the ESL/ELD department at the Board: TRELLIS In alignment with the first attachment, ESL/ELD teachers will complete ELL Progress Updates for the June reporting period based on their observations garnered up to March 13, 2020. Next steps regarding the printing of the ELL Progress Updates and the Record of ESL/ELD Support will be posted in a future announcement. Newcomer Profiles The Newcomer Profile can be completed for new students who have registered after March 13, 2020. ESL/ELD teachers are reminded that the over-the-phone interpretation services provided by the TDSB are still available. Please go to the "Quick Links" drop down menu on the TDSB Homepage for more information. Settlement Workers Our settlement workers are still available to support our students and families via telephone, email and other electronic platforms. Please consult the second attachment to identify the contact person for your school and refer to the third attachment for new parents.
