Good afternoon North Toronto families: I'd like to thank everyone who participated in our final virtual school council meeting of the year. Happy graduation, Jess! >From TDSB Psychological Services: To the parents and caregivers of the North Toronto community, Please take a moment to read through the 3rd issue of the newsletter, Hearts & Minds, which is being shared by the TDSB's Psychological Services department. Below is the link for the 3rd issue of the Psychology Newsletter, Hearts and Minds! https://www.tdsb.on.ca/Portals/0/aboutus/docs/Hearts-Minds-Issue-3.pdf Final report cards: On June 18, a central communication was sent to all parents/guardians to inform them that Grades 1 to 12 Report Cards will be distributed in digital format via School Messenger. A hard copy can also be provided upon request when school reopens. School Messenger is simply an email platform used by the TDSB and that no action is required on the part of parents/guardians. The central communication is as follows: Due to the current school closures resulting from COVID-19, final report cards will be distributed to TDSB students and parents/guardians in a digital format using School Messenger, an email communication system currently used by schools. As per Ontario Student Records (OSR) guidelines, a signed, printed copy of the report card will be filed in the OSR when schools reopen. The TDSB will take the following steps to deliver a report card for each student in a secure manner: 1. You will receive an email with the report card attached as a password-protected PDF file. * Secondary report cards will be emailed to both parents/guardians and students' TDSB email address between July 3 - 8. 2. The password will be unique for each report card. 3. The password format will be communicated in each email, not the password itself. Please contact the Principal at your child's school with any questions. Final locker clean-out: Student entry into the building to clean out lockers came to a close this past Wednesday. Caretakers will now remove locks and clean out any remaining items over the summer. Textbooks will be returned to department offices/classrooms. Any items of clothing will be bagged and tagged and stored until the fall.
