No, she hasn't looked at those. I think she'd resent them. She still cooks most Saturday nights for as many as 20 people, so she still has most functionality - it's just that the fingertip percussion causes her pain after a short amount of time, as does the wrist motion from handling the mouse.
I'm thinking the (hopefully) more natural position the leapmotion will allow might help her sustain her sessions of browsing and email writing.
