Workstation testing platforms for patch testing Virtual copies of real
production systems rekeyed with technet keys to allow for testing purposes
for patch testing (SBS 2003, SBS 2008, SBS 2011, Essentials 2011, Essentials
2012). Not cost effective (nor can SBS 2003 be spun up in an Azure VM last
I checked) Able to set up workstation and server setups - without
reoccurring Azure costs - in a Microserver HyperV setup.
I don't know about the rest of you but I've also emailed

It also means the loss of guaranteed SLA in covered Technet forums - so no
more Microsoft engineers in a Technet forum
It also means the loss of 2 support incidents for a reasonable price tag
that was included in the Technet fee.
I am concerned that their entire focus is now cloud developers (MSDN) and no
longer with the IT pro with this move.
It's a bad move and a bad policy.

No real reason to have it. The only piece anyone uses is for
downloading software. You can spin up a Azure VM to do the same
thing. And, the alternative options they are providing are fine
replacements, and will be free.
