What about HVBACKUP for hyper-v. Has anybody restored using it. I use WBS
and HVBACKUP as to backup my hyper-v servers.

I haven't used WSB for restore of VMs, but have used it to restore
physical boxes and it works great, even if Domain Controllers that are part
of a larger server environment. Microsoft DPM also works really good too,
both for VMs and Physical boxes. Doing BMR backups is very handy. The
only downside I've seen so far with either is that the documentation is
poor and error messages, when they occur are sketchy at best. I've also
used PHD Virtual for VM backups (much like Veeam it using snapshotting too)
and it's awesome.

Hi all

Is anyone using Veeam or Altaro for performing backups and restores of
VMs? Would appreciate any feedback, good and bad regarding these products.

Thanks

Pierre
