I'd be curious to hear what IOPs requirements make you believe an EMC will out
perform the EQL.

        Thanks all.

Seems my biggest iops piece is requesting EMC over EQL so that is the
route I am going to go.

Only because of what I have read in threads here, and online, and some
realtime users of both(with my same application servers) leads me to trust the
EMC over the EQL.

I hope I am not sorry down the road but it really appears by the perf
mon’s or equilvalent from VMware that for these apps the EMC VNX will be my
best fit.

        Thanks again.

I have also liked cisco for switches and Juniper for routers but the
last large role out I was part of used Dell for top of rack and I was very
impressed

I'd lean towards the EQL as well, but it boils down to your specific
requirements. Do you have the networking hardware already figured out? If not,
you have the benefit of working with Dell on that front as well. Force10 has
some good options.

I am down to EqualLogic 6500E or VNX5300.

                Anyone have any favorites?

Ups or downs regarding either of these?
