I think its due to a corrupt or incorrect print driver. If it's a brand new
sever, are you able to reimage or install the OS?

Had this problem recently. Does it clear the queue within a a few seconds?
That's the issue I had with a workstation. I was provided this link through
the forum:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2012/02/24/microsoft-fixit-for-printing.aspx

Worked after I ran the fix it.

Subject: [NTSysADM] Server 2012 Ghost printing issue

Hi all,

Brand new server 2012 std.
I have 2 network printers installed.
When I submit test prints, it shows printer and clear the queue but nothing
comes out of the printer.
-Same printer, installed via network on another machine works fine.
-I have triple checked drivers.
-1 is Lexmark, another Cannon.
-No errors in the event logs.

Any ideas?

Thank You
