I've heard app developers discussing "game-ification". It sounds interesting, but I don't see much of it yet.

I could use help on this from the other side. I seem to know to do this, mostly, but I have struggled to teach it to minions. So I would love to see feedback on-list about this. I've tried to impress about things like "Always find out 'Why?'", and "Always understand the situation", but experience has taught me this isn't enough for many people. The one general tip I can offer is: The goal of a business is to make money. Almost everything comes down to return-on-investment -- what does it cost, and what does it pay/save/accomplish. While ROI may not be the only thing to consider, it should always be part of the analysis. E.g.: This list costs me time, but pays in experience, knowledge, and morale. > When it comes to systems management (servers, endpoints, troubleshooting, > etc.), what does that look > like?
