Actually is it? Pure cloud things are not all taken care for you. (What have you signed up for in the contract, or lack-thereof might surprise you). Also you have regulatory and compliance aspects that you are still responsible for not the cloud provider in most cases. (Again why as a cloud provider, do I want to assume your regulatory risk, when I am trying to build a model that is driven off OPex not capEX).
We could go on and on about the cloud and aspects, but a lot of businesses have been burned when they turned to the cloud provider, for critical aspects they didn’t contract for with the cloud provider, and ended up holding the short end of the stick.
