Hello dear people, dear sir,

I have myself and many others used the Tool with much success and no problems.
My Comodo firewall nor Avast antivirus haven't reacted on that program/tool.

I haven't checked it with Virus Total, maybe I should. It might be false
positives because of the behaviour of the tool, after all it analyzes and
shrinks WinSxs folder, and even other Windows folders.

I have written about the tool to few topics at Social Microsoft, for people
complaining about winSxs size.

Yes this was my first post here as I joined some week ago. I'm sorry to hear
that the post + the tool has casted a shadow of doubt of my intentions. Which
are only to inform that this kind of tool has been made, available here.. etc.

I'm not here to convince anyone, I just thought of to inform about the tool. It
does what it says, cleans old hasbeen Windows files. After scanning the user
can opt-out locations which he/she doesn't want to remove.

Perhaps a good note would also be that it doesn't wipe out Winsxs completely
clean. I used the tool some 2 weeks ago, my winsxs was 11GB (Win 7 pro x64) and
it reduced it almost 3GB.

Me myself I'm most certain that av-alerts are false positives due of behavior
of the tool.

Sincerely,

ArmaRayo (yes a newbie in here)

A lot of people are having frustration with WinSxs folder and especially with
it's ever-growing size.

MS has released an update to Disk Cleanup that can help to reduce the size of
the folder by removing SP backups and it's backups.

However for many this is not enough.

A Chinese based coder group has launched a tool called

The Windows Update Clean Tool

The tool is very careful and precise and only deletes what is safe to delete.
It also links/junctions old deleted items to the latest ones. Be noted that
cleaning WinSxs with this tool: Rolling back Windows Updates isn't possible.

Always use the latest version, DOWNLOAD link here:
