Another vote for Teamviewer.  I purchased it some time ago and have been happy 
with it.  Setting up a custom client is incredibly easy.

Pricing is good and they have Windows 8 and Windows phone 8 apps.  Logmein 
still doesn’t.

What does that last sentence mean? Are you saying it’s somehow able to make it 
through a firewall where no rule or exception exists for its traffic? :|

I can’t emphasize enough about the quality of Teamviewer.  It’s part of GFI, 
run out of Germany.  Superb product, does not need a hole punched in the 
firewall to work.
